Grinding & Degassing

Properly ground coffee ensures proper extraction every time your customer brews a fresh pot. Our two industrial grinders can move through approximately 3000 pounds of coffee every hour, depending on the particle size. These three-stage grinders first crack the coffee beans, and then mill the coffee down to the correct grind size. As part of our ongoing commitment to quality control we utilize a Ro-tap shaker to accurately determine if the grind is within spec.

After coffee is ground it's sent directly into degassing bins that are flushed with Nitrogen. This allows them to give off their carbon dioxide so that we can package them into fractional bags without a fear of them bursting. For retail packaging with valves we can package that coffee immediately.
